Have you ever been inspired by someone? I mean like, truly moved and motivated to make a drastic change or feel a huge emotion because of something someone did or said to you?
I believe most of us have. And when you’ve had someone move you in that type of way it can have a major impact on the way you become or the way you act.
A lot of times it can be something as simple as a Facebook post, a Tweet, or simply a quote someone shared.
And sometimes it’s something huge like a motivation speech given by a coach or a family member sharing a life-changing story.
We all want to be inspired and some of us even need to be inspired, to make a positive change or to be a better person.
But have you ever inspired someone?
Do you even know if you have? How would you, unless they’ve verbally told you?
Do you consider yourself an inspiring person?
If yes, why? If not… Why aren’t you?
Most people don’t know and may very well never know if they inspire people, simply because people are timid when it comes to confronting someone about these type of things. For some reason it can be hard to come forth to someone you look up too and tell them, “What you said truly inspired me, thank you.”
But in reality, it’s important to let those people know that they inspire you because that is why they did what they did in the first place… to inspire.
I’m only 21 years old, pretty young compared to the people I’ve surrounded myself with. But what that did was make me grow into a much wiser person, fast.
My job is to train people. But being a great trainer means I’m also an inspiring coach that motivates people. In fact I’m more than a trainer to my clients; I’m a friend, coach, trainer, therapist, influencer, counselor, etc…
The point is I inspire people as much as I possibly can and I have had people come to me and tell me what I’ve done for them is life changing or inspiring.
Not many people can say that at 21 years of age, they’re changing the lives of people who are 2-3 times their own age.
The first time someone told me I changed their life, it made me want to break into tears because it felt so great to be able to do that.
So what did that make me do?
It made me want to inspire a million more people. Every day I wake up now, I strive to be better and inspire another person.
At this point your probably wondering what this article is even about, or if it’s just me on an emotional rant…
Well, this post is being written in hopes that I can inspire you to inspire someone else.
Whether that is through a blog post, Facebook status, a Tweet, a common gesture to a stranger, or by taking a few minutes to talk to someone who simply just needs to be talked too.
You see, I can only inspire those who I come in contact with. But if I can inspire you to inspire someone else, that’s at least two people to every one person I can help.
The feeling of inspiring another person is just as amazing as the feeling of getting inspired. And when you get inspired, you accomplish more and grow so much more as a person.
So all’s I ask you is to take any and every opportunity to help or inspire someone. It’s so much easier than you would think..
