SIMPLICITY > complexity.
Have you ever noticed that successful people are always telling you to not overthink things and/or to keep it simple?
And at first, you feel like that can’t be right…
That the advice is too easy to be correct…?
Yeah, me too.
But then I took the advice and kept my head down, consistently doing the simple stuff.
Only to realize that the advice was 1,000,000% on point.
It’s just that most people don’t have the patience to see it through.
But the truth is, the best trainers give the simplest strategies and write programs that focus on simple progression over time — providing the client with the best results, due to consistency with the basics over time.
The best nutritionist provides simple plans with basic tools, but coaches it in a way that allows consistency, adherence, and consistent motivation — so that the client is patient enough to get to the result.
The best mentors dumb it down, give simple steps, and push their mentees to just simply work hard for a longer period of time — they think months and years, not days and weeks.
And in ALLLLLL these scenarios…
The results last much longer.
So the advice I want to give you today is just as simple as the story I’m telling…
Look at how you’re training, the diet you’re following, and the habits you’ve developed.
Look at everything you’re doing, in pursuit of your goals…
Then, identify where you’re overcomplicating things.
Find what you’re creating complexity, for the sake of creating complexity.
Determine if you lack patience and due to that, you’re trying to create “excitement” or “change” in hopes of eliciting a faster result.
Then, swallow this painful pill…
IT’S NOT GOING TO WORK.
Doing that will only lead to frustration and MORE time spent trying to accomplish something.
Simplify and be patient.
I promise you’ll be glad you did, months and years from now.
