If you take offense, you probably don’t take action
Nothing is going to slow you down more than taking offense and blaming others.
Pointing the finger elsewhere does NOTHING for your goals. It simply doesn’t serve you.
Yet today we live in a world where offense is taken easily and fingers are pointed constantly.
We’re missing ownership and leadership more than ever.
And most people have forgotten how powerful discipline is, because they rely on handouts and motivation from others.
But here’s the harsh reality…
The harsh reality that I know pisses people off and may offend some of those who read this…
LIFE ISN’T EASY.
RESULTS AREN’T GIVEN.
HARD WORK IS HARD.
AND NOBODY GIVES A SHIT ABOUT YOUR FEELINGS.
Now… I know that sounds harsh and probably a little over the top compared to some of my other content… but it’s the truth.
And if I’m going to be real, I need to create content that reflects that and help you get through the mental battles you face during your journey.
Now, if you can just flip those statements and simply accept what they are… you win.
LIFE IS HARD AND I ACCEPT THAT.
RESULTS AREN’T GIVEN, THEY’RE EARNED – AND I WILL EARN MINE.
NOBODY GIVES A SHIT ABOUT MY FEELINGS, BUT I’M NOT DOING THIS FOR ANYONE ELSE.
Now stop right here, go back… and read that a couple more times.
Shit, write them all down yourself.
Feels good, right?
Gives you some power, doesn’t it?
Now that you feel that, USE THAT again and again as time goes on.
Because your mind will play tricks on you and try to get you to slow down, stop pushing, get comfortable, and avoid discomfort.
But the truth behind every person who has the success or results we desire, is that they understand this more than others.
They know that motivation is bullshit and discipline is actually what will take them from where they’re at to where they want to go.
It’s what allows them to do the work, week after week – even on those days where they don’t feel like doing it.
They know that the journey won’t be easy and it’s going to require a lot of hard work and sacrifice.
But they love that and it actually fuels them more; because the difficulty in the journey creates a deeper attachment to the result and more fulfillment from the process.
Yet YOU will never understand this… unless you give in to the process.
You need to work on discipline, instead of seeking motivation.
You need to do the hard work, instead of taking the easy path.
You need to take responsibility, instead of pointing the finger everywhere else.
You need to be patient, instead of trying to find the quick fix path.
It’s not easy and a lot of this might trigger you…
But instead of taking offense, start taking action.
For your own sake.
