Don’t Live With “What If’s”
If you ask any person who is over the age of 80 about their life, you’ll hear the word regret or the statement “wish I would have” at least once or twice.
It’s a fact.
Go try it.
Now… Why do you think that is?
I’ll tell you exactly why:
THEY DIDN’T PURSUE WITH THEIR DREAMS.
And these dreams could be big or small.
It could’ve been asking that waitress you always see at your favorite dinner out or quitting your job to pursue your passion.
Shit, it could’ve been joining a fitness program or daily challenge to lose weight.
The point is, that regret is a painful curiosity you’ll have to live with for the rest of your life.
Far more painful than the pain of a failed attempt to try.
Now, if we go back to those 80+ year old people and ask them if they regret trying the things they tried… what do you think they’ll say?
Nobody regrets trying, even if they failed.
Because if you at least tried, you can eliminate the pain of regret.
And once again… that’s a pain that cuts deeper than most.
So the lesson inside this is simple.
Don’t be that old person.
Do the work.
Pursue your dreams.
And NEVER fear failure.
Just fear regret.
